This is what keeps me going...look at the goofy smile on my face as I was coming in to the finish line at KC. 26.2!!! Training is hard now, but I have this elation to look forward to again. With the right training, I will be in better condition this year. I'm starting my am protein shakes tomorrow. My daughter (seen here) ran about half of a mile at the end with me...she was SO excited! How many times in your life is your kid REALLY proud of you?

WHAT is my mother reaching for? After the race, KC treats you with all sorts of water and food to munch on. I was still pretty "high" in this picture... the pain hadn't set in yet. It did about one hour later...with a VENGEANCE. This is why God invented Advil.

My husband is training with me to run Chicago. It's SO fun to do this together! We ran five tonight, and BOY does he have a runners high! The last time he ran five miles was when he was 17 years old! Ha Ha.... we may not finish looking like Ken and Barbie, but we'll have a good time trying!

I forgot you ran last week!! I'm so proud of you! What a great thing to run with your hubbie. I just joined the exercising world again this morning. Maybe I'll have hope in a few years...
